Nina Proctor BDS University of Newcastle 1995 MSc – 70589 – Principal Dentist – Originally from Bolton, Nina graduated from Newcastle University in 1995. After working as an associate in Bishop Auckland and Hartlepool, she took over as principle dentist at Claypath Dental Practice in 2005. She completed a Masters in Cosmetic Dentistry in 2014 with a Merit. Since she became principle dentist, Nina has worked hard building Claypath Dental Practice into the busy practice it has become today.
Roger Terry BDS University of Bristol 1996 – 71706- Dentist – A born and bred Dunelmian, Roger headed south after schooling in Durham to graduate from Bristol University in 1996. Roger has spent the years since graduating working in the North East NHS Community Dental service before moving into NHS and Private practice. He joined our team at Claypath Dental Practice in 2009.
Stefan Trifanov DMD lasi 2009 – 214889 – Dentist – Originally from Romania, Stefan trained extensively in hospital settings after obtaining his qualification as a dentist in 2009. He decided to move to North East of England in 2012, and since then, he has worked in various NHS and private dental practices where he has been enhancing his experience in all aspects of dentistry. He has joined our practice in December 2025 and is looking forward to meeting all our lovely patients.
Jamie Lee BSc (Hons) Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy – 269229 – Dental Therapist – Jamie joined our team in 2024 following completion of her dental therapist training. She is looking forward to being part of our team and extending her skills and knowledge.
Mireille Jackman – Diploma in Dental Hygiene 1995 – 4030 – Dental Hygienist – Mireille joined the practice in 2025. She has worked as a dental hygienist for over 25 years and enjoys all aspects of periodontal treatment. As well as working in general practice she is also a mentor and in the past lectured at Teesside University.
Tomilola Adeyemo – 315594 – Dental Hygienist – Tomilola joined our team in April 2025. She is looking forward to working to improve the gum health of our patients.
Mark Muldoon BA PGCE – Practice Manager – Mark joined the practice in 2006 as practice manager after a career change from teaching. He completed the UMD Diploma in Dental Practice Management in 2007. He is highly motivated in providing the best care and service to our patients.
Jill Young – 162017 – Clinical Supervisor – Jill joined our team in 2007 as a newly qualified nurse and was promoted to her current role as Clinical Supervisor in 2012. Jill has widely extended her skills and qualifications since joining the practice, focusing her training around her job roles. Jill has passed her Oral Health Educator course, Dental Radiology qualification, NVQ Level 3 Team Leadership and management, NVQ Level 3 Customer Service Advisor, NVQ Level 2 Equality and Diversity and NVQ level 2 in Dental Decontamination. She is also the practice Decontamination Lead, in charge of clinical auditing and mentor for our trainee nurses.
Maria Haug – 148844 – Senior Dental Nurse – Maria joined our team in 2015. Maria qualified as a dental nurse in 2008 and worked at a private practice in Lanchester where she had the opportunity to extended her qualifications. Maria has passed her Dental Radiology qualification, Certificate in Oral Heath Education, Nobel Biocare Implant nursing certificate and has extended skills in Fluoride application, Impression taking and the placement of Rubber Dam. Maria also works alongside the Clinical supervisor and is one of our Qualified Emergency First aiders. Maria is also a mentor for our trainee nurses.
Amanda Gibson –131151- Dental Nurse – Amanda joined our team in 2006. she is the longest serving member of the nursing team at the practice. She qualified in 2000 and worked in several NHS dental practices across County Durham. Amanda has passed her Dental Radiology Qualification and works mainly chair side with our principal dentist Nina Proctor assisting in complex cosmetic cases, orthodontics and implants restoration.
Leah Meek – 330600 – Dental Nurse Leah joined our team in March 2024 after leaving college to train for a career as a dental professional. She has enjoyed learning all aspects of the role and successfully passed her – Dental Nurse (Integrated) Level 3 apprenticeship in August 2025. Leah is looking forward to progressing further in her dental nursing career.
Ellie Best – 333152 – Dental Nurse – Ellie joined our team in July 2024 to train for a career as a dental professional. She has enjoyed learning all aspects of the role and successfully passed her – Dental Nurse (Integrated) Level 3 apprenticeship in January 2026. Ellie is looking forward to progressing further in her dental nursing career.
Mohammad Habeeb- Trainee Dental Nurse – Mohammad joined our team in June 2025 to train for a career as a dental professional in the UK having previously worked in the dental profession in Libya He is looking forward to expanding his knowledge and skills.
Ifeoluwa Oyebanji- Trainee Dental Nurse – Ifeoyula joined our team in July 2025 to train for a career as a dental professional. She is looking forward to starting her her role.
Karen Robson – Receptionist – Karen joined our team in 2015. Karen has worked in dentistry for over 40 years. Starting her training after leaving school, she trained in South Shields on a YTS before moving down south and qualifying in Reading. She returned to her Sand dancing roots returning north and moved from clinical to full time reception duties 20 years ago. She has worked in both NHS and Private practices, extending her skills as one of our Qualified Emergency First aiders.
